hi and hello

hello there my furry friends. yes, i know, it's been a while. you see, i've just been a little busy--attacking roy, chasing kitties, peeing in the house (it's too rainy outside), and eating anything i can get my paws on. yes, i realize some of these things might not be the things i should be doing but you know, i try to live by my own rules.

what have you all been up to? any big plans for the holidays? i plan to do anything i can to get those ornaments off our great big tree. any tips?

why hello there!

hey there everyone. how's everything been going? are you having a nice fall so far?

i'm doing ok. just been hanging out at home with the family. now that momma and i live with roy, i don't get to go on as many trips, so that's a bummer. but i do have a lot more fun at home 'cause now there's not one but two kitties to torment.

when will they ever learn? i can catch them no problem! i mean, they have the advantage of jumping up high on things but i can still get 'em.

so that's pretty much what i've been doing. i must say, i'm not looking forward to that dreaded wet weather. nothing i hate more then putting on a raincoat for my morning potty!

i hope to be back soon with more action.

water dogs

last week the family took a trip to the beach and i had such a great time.


playing at the beach is one of my most favorite things to do.

sleepy time

hey everyone, hawthorne girl here. sorry lulu and i haven't been sharing our recent adventures with you as we are still settling into our new home. lu is doing great and enjoying her time chasing two kitties now.

i was out of town for work last week and lorenzo sent me the cutest picture that i just had to share with you. sorry it's a little blurry but it is still too cute.

on the move

i'm sad because momma's been so busy getting us moved that i haven't been out on the town much lately.

that's ok, soon roy and i will be back to our usual shenanigans that we'll share with you all.

roy and i haven't been out on many adventures lately because all it wants to do in portland is rain. momma, when is it going to stop raining here so we can go outside again?

oh yeah, momma is all worked about about world cup soccer. i'm sure we will be watching our fair share this month. that's ok, we all heart soccer.

yay play date!

last night momma took me to my aunt jessica's for a play date with my friends pip and duffy. we had a great time and i don't get to see duffy very much. i was pretty pooped after playing so much with the guys.


when i got tired, i settled in with aunt jessica to watch some of my show, the city. oh yeah, good times!


momma, would you quit taking pictures, i can't hear the latest roxy drama, sheesh.

there is some seriously bad weather going on today here in p town. i think i'm just going to hang out under the bed all day.

besides, i don't want to mess up my hair!

lulu as a logo?

while working on her other blog over here, momma came across this frenchie french fashion line with a doggie that looks a little bit like me as their muse. now momma is all up in arms that i will be her inspiration for her own logo.





what do you think? do you think the world is ready for lulu as a logo? i'm just not sure if there is enough of me to go around to keep up with all of the demand!

you may not know it but i really rock. oh yeah, i'm digging this song!

ode to roy

roy, i would like to take this opportunity to ask you, "what the heck were you thinking?" i know you are still a puppy and all but i gotta tell you, eating poisonous stuff is not a good idea. you really scared my momma and daddy and scared your momma, too. so please, please, please never do this again. because i don't know what i would do if you weren't here to join in on all the great adventures we have together. there is a reason momma calls you "good times roy". you really do know how to have a good time and sometimes when i'm grumpy, i really need you to remind me to snap out of it and have FUN!


when you first came to live with us when you were a puppy, i admit, i was a little jealous.


but then we got to be friends and i had someone to play with.


we went to your momma's soccer games together and it was so much fun. i thought i should give you a nice lick on the nose.


and there is absolutely nobody like you when it comes to snuggling and nap time.


and tag teaming the cats is one of our favorite past times. it's just not the same when i have to do it alone.


what about the time we got to play in the snow for the first time together? how fun was that?


and laundry? well nobody knows how to make laundry fun like you do.


i know you're all grown up and bigger than me now but you'll always be younger than me.


so you better listen to me and be good and stay out of the bad stuff because the day we almost lost you was the saddest day we've ever had as a family.


*note to all pet lovers, roy got into something toxic over the weekend and had to be rushed to the vet. they think it was something like slug bait, compost or fertilizer. if we had not gotten him there so quickly, he would not be here today. so please, please, keep these things put away out of your pets reach when working in the yard. and if your pets are acting unusual at all (panting excessively, shaking, scared), get them to the vet right away. it took 48 hours for them to get it out of his system (and a lot of money). he's back and doing great but i hope this never ever happens again. -hawthorne girl

and thank you to the northwest veterinary specialists for taking such good care of our baby boy.

nap time

roy and i had a very busy day on saturday. after i got home from momma's work, we went for a long walk to the park and chased each other around and then we went back home and helped momma clean up. after this, we were tuckered out and needed a nap. i love taking a nap with roy, he's very snuggly.

last saturday, momma let me go to work with her. she said i had to stay put and not run all over the store which is what i really wanted to do.


i had to behave myself for four whole hours in a row. that was no fun. that work thing is for the birds, i definitely think i'd rather stay home and play all day.

i know it is spring in the rest of the country but here in oregon, it's still cold. my most favorite place to sit is in front of the fire. but this has me thinking, momma, why don't we live somewhere nice and warm?

meet my cousin noah. he lives down in new mexico. i haven't met him yet but i can't wait until i do. i can tell by looking at him that we will get along great.

momma says that he is named after some famous carpenter who built a really big boat. well, i don't know about boats but i sure do love water so that sounds ok to me.

momma said we're going on a road trip to a place called bend. i don't know much about this place but i do know that i need to get my blankie in just the right place in the car.
